Fairylore: A Compendium of the Fae Folk
Fairylore is finally available on Amazon! I had such a wonderful time working on this project, and it truly felt like stepping into another world with every piece. This illustrated compendium, written by expert folklorists, is thoughtfully divided into chapters exploring fairies of the home, nature, and more, each one examining not just what fairies are, but what they’ve meant to people across cultures and generations. Each section explores different ways of understanding these elusive beings, and how they’ve been used to explain the mysteries of the world around us… and even parts of ourselves.
I painted a series of chapter heading illustrations for the book, each one centered around a different facet of the fairy world. These include fairy neighbors, fairies of seduction, fairies of terror, fairies of nature, fairies of the home, and finally, “our fairies, ourselves.”

Being part of this project was like wandering through a series of hidden worlds, each one with its own special magic. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to help give form to these stories and to contribute to a project that honors the enduring mystery of the fae!
